Shygirl Announces New Album Swallow!: Hear “Lucky (hymn)”

A lot has happened since Shygirl's 2022 debut album Nymph, which was shortlisted for the 2023 Mercury Prize. The British up-and-comer went on Charli XCX and Troye Sivan's massive Sweat Tour, showed up on the Brat remix album, released a bunch of EPs, starred in Charli's The Moment and Madonna's Confessions II – The Film, and most recently she rang in a new era with a song called "Alyse." Now, she's announcing her second album Swallow!The new single "Lucky (hymn)" is out today. "This album unravelled at a time in my life where I felt truly loved and content," Shygirl wrote on Instagram. "I felt grateful for all the ways it took to get to that place and I can't wait to share the music that continues to bring me back to that feeling time and time again. It's raw and spiky and lush and lovely. It's my reminder to myself that it's fine to be contrary and that bliss in oblivion is sometimes the most harmonious of states. If there's anything I stand for it's the pursuit of love; to love and be loved and all the emotions in between.
