Sick New World had a difficult 2025 – with both Metallica and Linkin Park headlining, each asking for $5 million for the performance, and slow ticket sales, eventually leading to the cancellation of the 2025 festival. Having kicked off only in 2023 and booking System Of A Down, Deftones, Korn, Cradle of Filth, and more the first year, it's easy to see how expensive Sick New World can get.
After animated mascots were used to tease System Of A Down fans during their most recent tour, sign-up portals popped up for the upcoming festival, and plans were leaked about the 2026 Las Vegas edition, one of the bands on the upcoming bill confirmed the festival. System Of A Down's frontman Serj Tankian was asked about the festival during a recent signing, to which Tankian answered with "next year."
And now, Sick New World are not just planning on a 2026 festival in Las Vegas. No, they've also added Texas to their bill. It's looking like on October 24th of next year, the festival will be stopping in Fort Worth, specifically. You can currently sign-up for Las Vegas or Texas updates on the Sick New World website.
With System Of A Down returning to the festival, there's definite room for speculation on who else may be returning, or appearing on the bill for the first time.
