Recorded in a rustic studio by the harbour in Bergen — the same creative home where much of her debut album Sucker Punch was made — new single "Fort Knox" channels the rage that comes from heartbreak, with the title nodding to the famous U.S. military vault, a metaphor for the emotional armour we put up after being hurt.
Last month, Sigrid returned with "Jellyfish" as her first release in two years. The track was written alongside longtime collaborator Askjell Solstrand — who co-wrote and produced Sigrid’s breakthrough ballad "Dynamite".
Their ten-year friendship has been fertile ground for vulnerability in the studio, with complete trust to experiment. "I love using my voice as a vessel to pour my heart out," she shares, "but on this song, I wanted it to sound carefree, joyful and playful - maybe a bit nonchalant."
