Roblox has another viral hit game on its hands, with Steal A Brainrot attracting millions of players every day.

Created by Brazillian Spider, the aim of Steal A Brainrot is to get as many brainrots as possible. This can be achieved by stealing them from other players and returning them to your base, or buying them from the in-game marketplace. You can also buy “slaps” and different items to “troll other players”, according to the game’s official description. It’s basically a version of capture the flag.
The Roblox game launched in May 2025 and has quickly racked up a huge playerbase. Steal A Brainrot has been visited more than 17billion times and earlier this month, broke 15million concurrent players (via gam3s.gg). “Best part is the chase, it takes some skill and a lot of improvising but getting back to your base successfully is a serious rush, the whole ordeal is a really fun rush,” said one player about Steal A Brainrot’s popularity.
However there’s a rivalry developing between the Steal A Brainrot playerbase and fans of Grow A Garden, another super popular Roblox game.

Grow A Garden launched in March and, as the name suggests, is a farming life simulator that remains active even when you’re not online. In June, more people were playing Grow A Garden than Fortnite’s busiest ever weekend.
Recently though, Grow A Garden’s creator apologised for a number of “repetitive” updates and promised a “new era” is imminent following a drop in players and backlash over new features. “I really feel like the golden days of Grow A Garden was when we were adding cool features like pets, crafting and cosmetics,” they explained. “I hope the community can see this change as a positive attempt at us to keep the game fresh and enjoyable for everyone. Thanks again for supporting us, we will always strive to keep this game number one.”
Earlier this month, Roblox was sued by a top prosecutor from the state of Louisiana over alleged child safety concerns. Attorney General Liz Murrill called the game “the perfect place for pedophiles” due to lax age-verification checks. “Roblox is overrun with harmful content and child predators because it prioritises user growth, revenue, and profits over child safety,” she said in an accompanying statement. Roblox has yet to respond to the legal action.
