Stormerz unleashes a guest mix full of electrifying hardstyle with unexpected twists on his Paradigm Shift debut ahead of Defqon.1!

One artist who has contributed to the evolution of euphoric hardstyle while blending in elements from other worlds is none other than Stormerz. The Chilean artist has been releasing music for nearly ten years, and every record has been better than the last. With humble beginnings on X-Bone Records, Stormerz has truly built his project from the ground up.
Over the years, Stormerz has elevated himself to the top of the Scantraxx label while making guest appearances all over the scene, including on Revealed Recordings, Lose Control Music, Q-dance Music, and so many others. Even while living on the opposite side of the world from hardstyle’s European epicenter, Stormerz has managed to find a way to gain loyal fans, earn international recognition, and remain true to his sound.
Honestly, I just make the music that I enjoy making, whatever style that is. I don’t really care about trends, fitting in, or trying to get the best spots or most attention by twisting my sound to what works best in the industry.

This mindset has led him to the pinnacle of the harder styles: Defqon.1 Weekend Festival. On the Saturday of Defqon.1, Stormerz is taking over the home of euphoric hardstyle at the UV stage for an intense performance full of golden melodies and deep kick drums.
“Defqon.1 has always felt like home to me, and it’s the festival I look forward to the most every year,” he told EDM Identity. “This time, being the only artist representing Chile makes it even more special. It’s an honor, and I’ll give it everything I’ve got!”
To prepare for his latest performance at Defqon.1, Stormerz stopped by to spin up an exclusive guest mix for his Paradigm Shift debut, highlighting his greatest records as well as his favorite tunes from the best artists in the scene. This wild ride begins with his latest release, “Sunshine,” with MC Synergy on the vocals. This track further evolves his style as Stormerz highlights his signature sound while adding a surprising sprinkle of Jersey club.
I remember being at a festival when a DJ dropped some Jersey club, and I thought, “This could mix really well with hardstyle.” I was already working on the track at the time, so I went home and brought that idea into it. Even though it’s just a small section of the song, it adds a fresh twist that I really like. I’m happy with how it turned out!
