Stranger Things Creators The Duffer Brothers Leave Netflix for Paramount: Report

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, aka The Duffer Brothers, have decided to leave Netflix for Paramount, reports Matthew Belloni of Puck News.

The exit follows multiple reports that the Duffer Brothers were in advanced negotiations for a massive deal with Paramount that would include both TV and film. According to Belloni, the “theatrical film component was the dealbreaker.”

The Duffer Brothers still have several projects coming to Netflix through their Upside Down Pictures production company, including the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which premieres in November. They are also working on a Stranger Things animated prequel and live-action Stranger Things spinoff.
