Submersion Festival Exceeded Expectations in 2026

Hammonton, New Jersey’s Paradise Lakes Campground became a canvas for the spellbinding Submersion Festival from October 2-4. Submersion Festival was already in full swing when I arrived on site Friday evening. Strutting past the Beach Stage, I was taken aback by the number of folding chairs, couches, and wagons strewn across the back half of the dancefloor. I’d only seen these on social media as festival-goers showed off the “living rooms” at various events dubbed couch fests. If you’re into electronic music and live in the Philadelphia area, you’ve likely heard the praises of Submersion. The independent event is only 40 minutes away from the city, making it an easy addition to the yearly festival roster. While I’ve long been a bass head, my tastes have skewed more mainstream until recent years, which has historically led me to large, corporate events with similar lineups featuring whoever is racking up numbers on social media.
