For those who don’t know, Teddy Pain, also known as T-Pain, is a hardcore gamer, so it makes perfect sense that he would launch a gaming league with DJ and producer Clinton Sparks.

Over the weekend in Las Vegas, T-Pain and Clinton Sparks celebrated SZN Zero of their Global Gaming League.

According to a press release, the GGL is described as “a groundbreaking new entertainment sports league combining gaming, celebrity, and culture.”

The event wasn’t short on star power, with other big names like Jermaine Dupri, Nick Cannon, and the man who is first to do everything, Soulja Boy, in attendance.

Dupri and Cannon were hosts of the kickoff event. At the same time, social media pioneer Soulja Boy dipped into his bag of hits for a lit performance and also introduced the season premiere match between T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Gaming and Bryce Hall’s Hall Pass Gaming.

Oh, and there was a friendly wager of $10,000 on the line.

T-Pain, who also serves as the league’s Executive Director of Strategy and Board Member, spoke about the GGL’s potential, saying, “The GGL will make gaming a household name like WWE did for wrestling and UFC did for mixed martial arts. We all game—now it’s time for the world to see gaming at the center of culture.”

GGL Founder and CEO, Clinton Sparks, adds: “We’re disrupting a $200+ billion industry by authentically integrating gaming with music, fashion, sports, and celebrity culture—something no one else has successfully done at this scale. The GGL is not just a league; it’s a movement to connect cultures and communities through gaming.”

Sounds like a very lit idea, we hope the GGL will continue to grow into something special.
