Taylor Momsen has some weird luck. Two years ago, the former Gossip Girl star was on tour with her band the Pretty Reckless, opening for AC/DC in Seville, Spain. While she was performing, a bat flew up and bit her on the leg. After a stagehand pulled the animal off, Momsen told the crowd, "Well, that hasn't happened before. I'm telling you. I'm a fucking witch. I attract the bats." Apparently, she attracts the spiders, too.
The Pretty Reckless have a new album called Dear God coming out in June, and they're currently on the road with AC/DC in Latin America. Yesterday, Momsen shared the news that she'd been bit by a "massive" venomous spider, along with a video of doctors treating her. Unfortunately, it didn't happen onstage this time. After being treated for spider venom, Momsen still played her set in Mexico City that night.
In her Instagram video, Momsen looks up at the camera and asks, "What are my superpowers? That's what I wanna know."
She could be a Spider-Woman, sure. Batgirl didn't get any powers from being attacked by a bat, though. Batgirl doesn't have any powers at all. That's her whole deal. If there's a superhero whose power is constantly being attacked by animals while opening for AC/DC, though, I haven't read that comic. As a scientific experiment, Momsen should just remain on tour with AC/DC, just to see what's next. Lions? Porcupines? Hordes of locust?
