Comedian Rose Matafeo reckons Taylor Swift fans will hate her new comedy special On And On And On.
The stand up show recently debuted it at this year’s Edinburgh fringe and she is currently on an extended run of her performance in London. It is also being filmed and set to be released as a comedy special.
Part of the comedian’s routine features a number of cutting jokes aimed at Swift.
When asked in a new interview with The Guardian if she fears the singer’s notorious fanbase, she said: “God yeah, 100 per cent. I will be hunted down for saying this. But I cannot be scared to speak my truth.”
In recent months, Swift’s fanbase have taken aim at Zach Bryan after he said he preferred Kanye West over the singer.
Donald Trump also felt their ire after he shared that he “hates” her after Swift broke her silence on the upcoming US elections, following the first debate between Kamala Harris and Trump, which saw her backing the former.
Star Wars legend Mark Hamill and Flavor Flav were among those who voiced their support for Swift amid Trump’s comments. The former posted an update reading “#ILoveTaylorSwift”, while the latter also said he “loved” the singer, and called himself “King Swiftie”.
A$AP Rocky also received a backlash after he used her name in a video for a recent song entitled ‘Taylor Swif’.
Elsewhere, Matafeo recently starred in the video for Yard Act‘s single ‘Petroleum’.
Following the completion of Swift’s tour dates across the UK and Europe, the singer is set to head back to North America this week, before she ends her mammoth ‘Eras Tour’ in Vancouver, Canada in early December.
“This has definitely been the most exhausting, all-encompassing but most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever wondered in my life, this tour,” Swift told the crowd as she marked her 100th ‘Eras Tour’ show in Liverpool in June.
In other Taylor Swift news, the singer yesterday (October 15) announced an official book to commemorate the ‘Eras Tour’, as well as the physical editions of her ‘Anthology’ album.
