Taylor Swift has revealed the release date, cover artwork, and tracklist for her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. Her 12th full-length will be released on Friday, October 3rd.
The cover artwork was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Spanning 12 songs in total, the album includes titles like “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Ruin the Friendship,” “Wi$h Li$t,” and “Cancelled!”. The album concludes with the title track, which features Sabrina Carpenter.
In a change of pace from her recent string of releases primarily crafted with producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, Swift has reunited with Max Martin and Shellback, who she previously collaborated with on reputation and 1989.
Pre-orders for The Life of a Showgirl, including several variant versions, are now ongoing via Swift’s website.
The Life of a Showgirl marks Swift’s follow-up to The Tortured Poets Department, which was released in April 2024. It’s also her first album since wrapping up her record-breaking “The Eras Tour,” and her first release since regaining full control of the master recordings for her first six studio albums.
