Taylor Swift will return to The Graham Norton Show next month to discuss her new album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’.

The pop star is scheduled to appear on the second episode of the hit BBC One chat show’s 33rd season on Friday October 3. Her 12th studio record arrives that same day, following on from 2024’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.

She will appear on the famous red sofa alongside Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders), Greta Lee (Past Lives), Jodie Turner-Smith (The Acolyte) and Domhnall Gleeson (The Paper). There’ll also be a live performance from Lewis Capaldi.

Swift first appeared on The Graham Norton Show in 2013, and has featured on the talk show numerous times since. Her most recent visit was in 2022, when she joined U2 frontman Bono, actor Eddie Redmayne and former Lioness Alex Scott on the sofa.

However, Swift has rarely made appearances on chat shows in recent years, and has not yet spoken about her new album on TV or to the media. She instead chose to share the news of ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ during her first-ever appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason.

In 2024, Graham Norton praised Swift’s ability to remain “so close to normal” despite her massive fame. “It’s like she can change the economy of a country just by showing up, yet she’s so lovely and normal, and just fantastic,” he said.

The host went on to say that the star “always has been super sweet” whenever she appeared on his show. “Like, she went from that gangly giraffe teenager country girl into a megastar, but has been the same from the beginning to the end. I love her,” he continued.

You can watch Swift on The Graham Norton Show at 10:40pm on Friday October 3 via BBC One. The episode will then be available on demand through BBC iPlayer. Find more information here.

During her last visit to the show, Swift recalled a “nightmare” screen test with Eddie Redmayne for Les Misérables.

The first instalment of the new season airs next Friday (September 26). Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Matthew McConaughey and Aimee Lou Wood will appear on the sofa, with Raye serving as the musical guest.
