The Sound’s "I Can't Escape Myself" is truly masterful in its crafting of a suspenseful atmosphere. Released on the band’s debut album Jeopardy in 1980, it uses sparsity and frigidity to create a highly memorable and eerie sonic experience.In other words it's iconic although it never became a chart hit.Now Harrison Patrick Smith known professionally as The Dare is an American singer and musician. He is best known for his single "Girls", released in August 2022 and for producing the song "Guess" by Charli XCX from the deluxe version of her 2024 album Brat.The Dare "dared" to make a cover of "I Can't Escape Myself" and not only that....This cover is sooo good that it's probably the best new release this week in my opinion and one of the best that ever was and ever will be. Taken from the upcoming deluxe edition of debut album "What’s Wrong With New York?" set for release on 20th June this cover version is truly an experience that you can't afford to miss...
