THE HAUNTED Gets Up Close And Personal In "Death To The Crown" Music Video

1 week ago 8

The Haunted just released their first new record in eight years called Songs Of Last Resort and it's an absolute fucking ripper front to back. I mean seriously, this might be the best thing The Haunted has done in over 20 years. To celebrate, The Haunted is now streaming a very up close and personal music video for "Death to the Crown" directed by the band's guitarist Ola Englund.

"'Death to the Crown' is one of those songs that just came out of pure frustration," said Englund. "It's about that feeling when you're watching politicians or leaders treat real people like pawns in some kind of game. It's not about any one person or country – it's about the bigger pattern. Power going to people's heads, egos growing out of control, and the rest of us left dealing with the mess. It's heavy. It's aggressive. It's The Haunted."

Songs Of Last Resort was recorded by Oscar Nilsson at Studio Bohus and main vocals recorded by Björn Strid at The Cellar Studio. Songs Of Last Resort was also mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Kreator, Arch Enemy, Sepultura, etc) and given artwork by longtime visual collaborator Andreas "Diaz" Pettersson. Songs Of Last Resort is available here.
