The Pretty Reckless are back with their first new song in four years, a single titled “For I Am Death,” which the band is touting as the beginning of a new chapter in its career.
Singer Taylor Momsen said of the new tune, “With ‘For I Am Death,’ I want the music to speak for itself, allowing the listener to decide what it means to them. The interpretation of the song might align with my own, or it might come from the heart of the audience. Either way, I’m excited to see what people take away from it and what it means to them. Oh, and rock and roll will never die.”
The song is a riff-heavy hard rock track with an infectious chorus featuring powerhouse singing from Momsen. The single is accompanied by a music video (directed by Lewis Cater) that begins with a short ballad titled “Life Evermore Pt. 2,” before kicking into “For I Am Death,” with striking imagery of Momsen throughout.
The Pretty Reckless recently completed a run of tour dates opening for the legendary AC/DC. As of now, the band has no other dates on it schedule.
