The Wonder Years
Back in September, The Wonder Years announced UK 10th anniversary shows for their crucial 2015 album No Closer to Heaven, and said non-UK shows were still to come. They’ve now announced a full North American tour in March and April, that will have them playing all of the album along with a second set of songs from throughout their discography. Knuckle Puck open all shows, and Equipment, Initiate, and Weakened Friends each join on select dates too. The tour wraps up with four Philadelphia shows, each with different support – Knuckle Puck and Weakened Friends on night 1, Pool Kids and Head North on night 2, Oso Oso and Future Teens on night three, and Spanish Love Songs and Bike Routes on night four. The NYC show is at Brooklyn Paramount on March 4 with Knuckle Puck and Equipment. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, December 5 at 10 AM local, with various presales starting Thursday, December 4 at 10 AM local.
The band also say that “with the exception of a few festivals that we’ve already agreed to,” “these are the last shows we’re planning on doing for an undetermined amount of time. How long exactly? We don’t know, but unless some real bucket-list shit comes up, we’re planning on taking a step back for a bit. So, I’m just saying: if you want to see The Wonder Years in the near future, maybe take this opportunity.”
