Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine announced yesterday (14 June) that he would be headlining a charity concert to raise funds for CHIRLA – The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights – and support the Los Angeles protests against ICE.
Due to take place in The Echoplex tomorrow (16 June), the venue is right outside the perimeter of where the LA protests have been taking place, Morello announced that he would be joined by Cypress Hill's B Real, Pussy Riot, K.Flay, and The Neighborhood Kids in a small picture posted to Instagram. The caption read:
"LOS ANGELES! – I’m calling on you to show up and make some noise! THIS MONDAY, June 16, we take the stage at The Echoplex to raise hell and raise funds for CHIRLA – The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights.
I’ll be joined by B Real (Cypress Hill)! Pussy Riot! K.Flay! And The Neighborhood Kids! With a DJ set by Shepard Fairey! And hosted by George Lopez!
