HALSEY
Halsey has announced the Back to Badlands tour that celebrates the 10th anniversary of her first album. The NYC stop is January 13 at Hammerstein Ballroom.
HAMILTON LEITHAUSER SUPPORTING PULP
Pulp’s North American tour starts next week and they’ve just announced that joining them will be Hamilton Leithauser. He says: “I love Pulp—I actually grew to appreciate their music over the pandemic when I was searching YouTube for an interview with film director Mike Leigh. I was like 30 years late. Anyhow I thought the guy interviewing Mike Leigh was funny and asked interesting questions, and it turned out to be Jarvis Cocker. So I checked out his music. After that I listened to Pulp every morning while I was jogging, and it kind of rekindled my interest in writing new music.” The tour hits NYC at Forest Hills Stadium on September 12.
RILO KILEY
Rilo Kiley’s first tour in 17 years resumes on the East Coast in Asbury Park, NJ’s Stone Pony Summer Stage on Saturday (8/30). There are a few more NYC-area shows over the next couple of weeks too, including Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre on Sunday (8/31), and Manhattan’s The Rooftop at Pier 17 on September 5 and SummerStage in Central Park on September 8.
ARIANA GRANDE
Ariana Grande has announced her first tour in six years, ‘The Eternal Sunshine Tour.’
DARKEST HOUR
Get ready for a big dose of metalcore nostalgia with Darkest Hour (celebrating their 30th anniversary), Bleeding Through (doing a The Truth 20th anniversary set), God Forbid (doing a Constitution of Treason set), and Nora. They’re playing three shows together: The Fillmore in Silver Spring on 12/12, Wally’s in Hampton Beach on 12/13, and Brooklyn Monarch on 12/14.
MDC
MDC will be returning to the East Coast for an 11 date tour this November with support from Urban Waster, Soji, and Rabid City. The tour hits NYC on 11/15 at Bridge & Tunnel Brewery.
BAY SWAG
Rising Queens “sexy drill” rapper Bay Swag has announced his first tour which happens in November and wraps at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre on 11/30.
ELIAS RØNNENFELT (ICEAGE)
Iceage’s Elias Rønnenfelt has announced his second solo album and a September tour.
JESSE MALIN
Jesse Malin has announced an Asbury Park show at The Stone Pony on December 12 & 13, and the second date is with Danny Clinch & The Hitchhikers. “It’s a big milestone for me to play there again,” says Jesse. “I’ve had so many great shows there, and it’s been a few years. I love Asbury, and the people at the club always treat us so well too. It’s got one of the coolest audiences out there.”
BUNNYGRUNT
St. Louis cuddlecore greats Bunnygrunt will be in NYC this weekend for a matinee at Young Ethels on Sunday (8/31) with Slumberland band Lightheaded and Harry Sings (mem Uranium Club). 2:30 to 6:30 PM.
