Tyla Reveals New Single “Is It”: Stream

South African pop star Tyla has shared a sultry new single called “Is It.” Watch the accompanying visual below.

The seductive single, produced by Sammy Soso, is a sexy shot straight to the heart of the dance floor. Thick with undulating Amapiano rhythms, “Is It” has the makings of a summer 2025 party favorite.

The song’s visual is directed by Aerin Moreno, who also delivered the music video for Tyla’s 2024 hit, “Push 2 Start.” The “Is It” clip serves up a multi-dimensional dance experience, with Tyla performing her choreography, as well as a routine with a line of backup dancers and a more intimate dance with a male counterpart. The visual ends with the singer immersed in a packed nightclub experience, surrounded by bodies moving to the song’s infectious beat – all of which happens without Tyla ever leaving the room.

“I’m excited to see this new version of me and hear what it sounds like and just have fun with it — just bring back fun in music,” the singer explained in a statement to NYLON magazine.

“Is It” follows Tyla’s most recent single, “Bliss,” which dropped this past May after she debuted the track at Coachella 2025.

Tyla has had a busy year, with appearances at the Met Gala, Governors Ball, and hosting Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. She also contributed a new song, “Everything Goes Blue,” to the official soundtrack of the animated feature film Smurfs, which was released this past June. Later on this month, she’s set to headline Tipsy Music Festival in Barbados.
