Tyler, The Creator has dropped an eerie video ‘St. Chroma’, which appears to be teasing a mysterious project called ‘CHROMAKOPIA’.

The rapper took to YouTube yesterday (October 16) to release the video, which runs at a minute and a half. It appears to tease Tyler’s first new music since 2021 album ‘Call Me If You Get Lost‘.

The video starts with a greyscale shot of Tyler marching through a barren environment, revealing a line of suited people marching in time behind him.

As Tyler commands the army of people, he leads them into a container painted with the words ‘CHROMAKOPIA’. After Tyler enters the container and shuts the door, a mysterious figure presses a detonator and blows it up, transforming the black-and-white video into colour.

Daniel Caesar has revealed himself as singing the chorus on ‘St. Chroma’, writing on Instagram Stories: “Did some vocals on this, very proud. Can’t wait for you all to hear the whole record.” Watch the unnerving teaser down below:

NME rated ‘Call Me If You Get Lost‘ four-stars upon its release: “The record stands as an all-encompassing culmination of Tyler’s ever-varying sound, showing that growth isn’t always linear and that artists can be a multitude of things.

“On ‘Call Me…’, Tyler cements his place as a generational talent, one in fine form and continuing to push the boundaries of his vision and kaleidoscopic sound.”

We also caught Tyler at his Coachella set this year, which NME hailed as the “kind of performance that keeps you guessing” in a four-star review. “It’s never obvious where the setlist is going to weave next, how the chosen song might be presented, or even who might appear during it,” we wrote.

In other news, Tyler, The Creator has taken a jab at Elon Musk at Austin City Limits:Sucks you can’t gas me up / Man fuck Elon!”.
