UK band Shopping call it quits, release final single “White Noise”

Shopping, the excellent UK post-punk trio who formed back in 2012, have announced they’re calling it a day. It’s been pretty quiet for the band since releasing All or Nothing Back in 2020 and they’re saying goodbye with one last song. “White Noise” is a banger with a dark, driving bassline and Ray Aggs bright guitar lines dancing around it.

“Recorded before our hiatus and lovingly brought to life in 2025, this track is a goodbye, a celebration, and a thank you to everyone who’s been part of our journey,” Shopping write. “Whether you danced at our shows, blasted us in your headphones, or just found us now, this one’s for you.”

The video for “White Noise” features fan-shot live footage from throughout Shopping’s career. They say: “This video was made by Billy Easter using archival tour and studio footage from across the band’s lifetime. It’s a shout out to the DIY community that carried us, the friends we made along the way, and everyone who ever danced, screamed, or cared. We hope you enjoy it.
