Ulrika Spacek announce EXPO, their first full-length release on Full Time Hobby

“Our music has always been a collage – a bit patchwork, sonically – but what makes this album a landmark for us is that we went one step further and made our own sound bank and essentially sampled ourselves,” the band says.

EXPO is governed by laws of its own. The organic wrestles with digital. If art is to be exhibited, then Ulrika Spacek will ensure that it is art they make together; that even as the world becomes inhospitable to community, that their intentions are an act of resistance. “We make decisions for the greater good,” they state, “and we are greater than the sum of our parts.”

The band have also announced the next instalment of its celebrated Oysterland night, set to take place at London’s Club Cheek on 19 November. The night will be headlined by Ulrika Spacek with support from CJ Calderwood and features short films from Ariana Mamnoon & Jasper Llewellyn.
