Weezer have been on the road this year, playing a sundrenched show on Glastonbury’s Other Stage in June, and themselves being brought out as special guests during Olivia Rodrigo’s headline set at Lollapalooza in August.

Elsewhere, the band are working on a film about their lives that has been described as a mix between Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Cuomo had speculated that Jack Black would be in the cast, but the band later confirmed this would not be the case. Keanu Reeves is, however, believed to be involved.

The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, meanwhile, has avoided jail time over a shooting case involving LAPD officers.

As for Blondshell, she released her second album ‘If You Asked For A Picture’ in May, which NME named as one of the best albums of 2025 so far.

A companion album, ‘Another Picture’, comes out on November 14, featuring new songs and covers from Conor OberstGigi Perez, Samia and Folk Bitch Trio. Pre-order the album here.
