Watch fan gift PinkPantheress a rotisserie chicken on stage in Chicago

PinkPantheress was gifted a rotisserie chicken by a fan while performing in Chicago recently. Check out the video below.

The singer-songwriter, who recently released her ‘Fancy Some More?’ remix album, played two shows at the Illinois city’s Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom last Saturday and Sunday (November 1, 2).

“It’s super beautiful in here, thank you for blessing me with your company,” she told the crowd at one point during the latter set. “Everyone in here is adorable.”

PinkPantheress then singled out a fan, after noticing that they were carrying something. “Is this a picture of somebody? Am I meant to take that from you?” the artist asked.

Upon noticing what the attendee had brought, she said: “Is that a roast fucking chicken in here? Did you bring me a bag of roast chicken?”

Perplexed by the bizarre gesture, PinkPantheress went on: “What does that mean? Huh? What does that mean? Can I have it though? This is nice – is this a gift? Am I meant to keep this? OK…”

She then passed the chicken to her on-stage DJ, Joe, adding: “He hasn’t eaten today – he could use the protein. Thank you.” Joe was seen eating the chicken during a rendition of the viral hit ‘Illegal’ – which appears on her Mercury-shortlisted second mixtape, this year’s ‘Fancy That’.

The moment was captured by a fan and subsequently uploaded to social media. Tune in above.

PinkPantheress is currently out on the North American leg of her ‘An Evening With… PinkPantheress’ tour, which is set to conclude in Oakland, California, next Thursday (November 13).

Earlier on the trek, her show in Brooklyn, New York, featured an appearance from Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, just days before the mayoral election today (Tuesday November 4). Last Friday (October 31), PinkPantheress was joined onstage by FKA Twigs for the live debut of their new collaboration, ‘Wild And Alone’.

In September, the singer played two gigs at the O2 Academy Brixton in London. In a four-star review of the first show, NME wrote: “The night felt less like a polished pop spectacle and more like a madcap show-and-tell with a superstar host.

“It may not have reinvented the live experience, but it proved PinkPantheress’ real gift: she knows how to turn a massive venue into something intimate, funny and unhinged.”
