Leading up to Gösta Berlings Saga's release of their new record, the band have dropped a brand new, 19-minute-long track titled "Fragment I" that doesn't actually feature on the album.

The standalone single is mostly improvised as the Swedish-experimentalist band dabbles somewhat within psychedelic rock before pushing the boundaries of sound even further.

""Fragment I" was recorded in January 2025 with the ambition to expand the NOW within Forever Now," the band explains, "Fragments of music from the upcoming album, intertwined with ideas dating back tot he time before our very first record, were allowed to merge freely over an afternoon in the studio."

The music video is more like a one-take studio session, where the band was accompanied by two guest musicians, Reine Fiske (Dungen, Träden) on the guitar and Gustav Nygren (Anekdoten, Kungens Män) on the guitar on saxophone.

Gösta Berlings Saga have also just announced their upcoming seventh studio album, Forever Now, on the 6th of June via Pelagic Records.
