Hayley Williams showed up at Cyndi Lauper‘s concert in Nashville, Tennesee last night (November 1) to perform ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’. Check out the footage below.
Lauper is midway through her ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour’. Earlier this week she surprised fans with an appearance from Sam Smith, who joined her at Madison Square Garden to perform ‘Time After Time’.
Now, she’s enlisted another special guest to mark her goodbye to touring. During her show last night at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, she welcomed Williams, who was wearing a matching red and white polka dot outfit to Lauper and her band, to the stage.
Though the Paramore vocalist has previously teamed up with Kacey Musgraves to cover the iconic 1983 hit, this is the first time she’s performed with Lauper. Check out the moment below.

Lauper’s ongoing farewell tour will continue until early December and see the New York singer perform across the US. Visit here for a full list of tour dates and here to purchase tickets.
Back in June, the Lauper opened up to Jimmy Kimmel about the tour and explained why she feels like now’s the right time for one last trek.
While she clarified that she’s by no means retiring, Lauper has ruled out “the trains, planes and automobiles”, suggesting that she’s open to the occasional hometown performance. She explained further: “I want to do an arena tour… I’m strong now, but I don’t know what I’m going to be like in four years.”
Shortly after, Lauper acknowledged her age by getting off her seat to mimic herself using a walker. “For me, I wanted to have a chance to do this when I’m feeling strong. I want to celebrate with people. Really celebrate with people, and make it fun.”
Elsewhere, the eccentric icon recently shared how “terrific” a songwriter she thinks Taylor Swift is.
In other Hayley Williams news, she recently revealed that Paramore are working on new music, saying they had been playing with an idea that “felt like it was on the other side of the tracks to what we’d been working on at home.” She added: “But that excites me.”
The band last released their 2023 album ‘This Is Why’, given four stars by NME: “Paramore are reaching to where, finally, their music has wanted to get to for the best part of the past decade. Rather than try to top their peerless anthems, the band have instead uncovered a new warmth on ‘This Is Why’, and the effect is triumphant indeed.”
