They performed an unreleased track, ‘Elvis’, which begins with a simple guitar riff and gradually builds with cinematic string arrangements and touches of flute. “I’m not too calm I shake my legs like I’m Elvis/I wanna be your only friend cause I’m selfish/I wanna stay here forever like its Vegas/Theres no-one else I wanna share this hotel with,” he sings. Yates then took over for the final verse. The Village Underground gig served as a warm-up performance for Tyler, The Creator’s All Points East takeover in London on Friday, which also saw the rapper joined by Turnstile, Mariah The Scientist, Clipse, Sexyy Red, Ravyn Lenae, Fakemink and Vince Staples.
