Waxahatchee Performs “365” on Kimmel: Watch

1 month ago 13

Waxahatchee stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform “365,” a cut from her recent album Tigers Blood.

The performance was announced by guest host Jeff Goldblum, who is currently filling in for Jimmy Kimmel this week. With a minimalist arrangement and a mid-tempo trot, “365” mainly serves as a highlight for Katie Crutchfield’s gentle, aching soprano and her dazzling songwriting. She frequently sings in harmony with her bassist beside her, narrating her reflections on a year in a relationship gone by with stirring clarity. Watch the performance below.

Waxahatchee returned this year to release Tigers Blood, her sixth studio album and her first solo LP since 2020’s Saint Cloud. We named it the best album of the year so far, and ranked lead single “Right Back to It” as one of the best songs of the year so far.

Meanwhile, the singer and songwriter has the final leg of her 2024 tour coming up. In addition to festival appearances at North Carolina’s Hopscotch and Chicago’s Riot Fest, Waxahatchee returns to the road this weekend for a show in Boise, Idaho and will continue through September. Snail Mail and Tim Heidecker will serve as openers throughout the late summer/early fall leg. Get tickets here.
