The members have already moved onto other projects, the statement on their website - addressed to "our fans" - explains.

J McClendon, the band's lead singer who goes only by J, released an album under the alis you are an angel earlier this year and gave an exclusive interview to Stereogum yesterday. Bassist Jonas Newhouse released an acoustic demos EP today on Bandcamp. Lead guitarist Layne Smith is a popular Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok streamer. And drummer William White is pivoting to community organising.

"Our rise truly was about as grassroots as can be, led by word of mouth, reviews, and fan works, and we are absolutely grateful for all of that," the post went on. You can read the full statement on the band's website.

Known for mixing math rock, emo, and jazz, Glass Beach formed in Los Angeles in 2016 and were signed to tastemaking punk and emo label Run For Cover (Title Fight, Basement, Camp Cope). They released two
full-length studio albums, 2019's The First Glass Beach Album and 2024's Plastic Death, produced by Grammy-winning Will Yip (The Wonder Years, Turnstile).
