Alongside The Last Of Us and Castlevania, Netflix’s Arcane is leading the charge when it comes to the best video game adaptations.
Based in the League Of Legends universe by Riot Games, the animated series follows sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell) as they find themselves in a developing conflict between the utopian city of Piltover and oppressed underbelly of Zaun.
A synopsis for season two reads: “In this final chapter, Jinx’s attack on the Council sets the stage for a dire escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.”
The show’s voice cast includes Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, Kevin Alejandro, Katie Leung, Toks Olagundoye, Harry Lloyd, Amirah Vann, Ellen Thomas, and Brett Tucker.
Arcane debuted on Netflix in 2021, with its second season arriving in November 2024.

Is this the final season?
Netflix has confirmed this is the end, but co-creator Christian Linke has teased there are plans for more League Of Legends projects from animation studio Fortiche.
Speaking about the show’s end, Linke said: “Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche.
“From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”
