This past Friday, the 7th of March, Tennessee-based titans Whitechapel released their ninth record, Hymns in Dissonance.

The record was recorded throughout 2023 and 2024 with guitarist Zach Householder at the helm of production, with the aim to be "shockingly menacing and brutal," guitarist Alex Wade explained to the Loaded Radio Podcast.

He further elaborates that Hymns of Dissonance is a concept album, in line with previous Whitechapel records, with dark religious themes and crushing riffs.

The ten track record has already met critical acclaim from Blabbermouth.net, Kerrang!, Louder Sound, and MetalSucks.
