The soulslike action role-playing game was released in 2025 and was played by more than 5million players in its first twelve months. The game was set in the land of Shu during the dark and tumultuous late Ming Dynasty with players having to deal with warring factions and a mysterious illness known as the Feathering. “Become Wuchang, a skilled pirate warrior struck by amnesia, who must navigate the uncertainties of her mysterious past while afflicted by the horrific Feathering disease,” reads an official description of the game. “Explore the depths of Shu, enhancing your arsenal and mastering new skills harvested from fallen foes.” Despite the success of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, it was reported (via Eurogamer) that producer and director Xia Siyuan left Lenzee in February with many of the game’s core developers also leaving.
