You Me At Six have announced that they will be holding “wakes” ahead of their final run of UK dates on their farewell tour.
The band recently announced their split after two decades together, and unveiled details of a farewell tour earlier this year. Comprised of Matt Barnes, Josh Franceschi, Max Helyer, Chris Miller and Dan Flint, the Weybridge rockers took to their official Instagram account to share that they are planning on “wakes” for the final dates of their tour.
“Calling all UK/Europe fans who have tickets to the final nights of six tour. We’re planning some very special “wakes” before each show where you can come and celebrate and say goodbye to 20yrs of our band,” read the caption.
Fans who are interested in the “wakes” can sign up for the band’s mailing list here to stay updated with any news and announcements that will come up. Fans can also check out a full list of tour dates below and visit here to purchase tickets.

NME previously spoke to the band about their incoming split, where frontman Josh Franceschi explained that the two-decade milestone had “always been our finish line” for the band.
“This is like our childhood crush, that we’ve been together with for 20 years and grown up alongside,” he continued. “But it is so much bigger than us five. It’s completely out of our hands what this band means to others. Let’s have the opportunity to say goodbye properly, versus slipping out the back door.”
As for what to expect from the farewell shows, Franceschi told NME: “We’ve worked out that our final gig is going to be 20 years to the day since our first ever band practice, which is wild. It wasn’t even deliberate.
“The UK tour is gonna be pretty mad. It’s a couple of months until we announce those dates. We’re looking at going to America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.”
He went on to say that YMAS “want to play for over two hours” at their final gigs, adding: “We want to have about 40-50 songs that are all rehearsed so that we can mix it up every night.
