Nintendo has found its Zelda and Link for its upcoming Legend of Zelda live-action film. Bo Bragason, an English actress known for her roles on BBC series such as Three Girls and The Jetty, has been cast as Zelda, while fellow Brit Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who most recently voiced Pinocchio in Robert Zemeckis’ live-action adaptation, will play the role of Link.
The Legend of Zelda is being directed by Wes Ball (The Maze Runner, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), and is set to hit theaters on May 7th, 2027. It marks Nintendo’s latest movie adaptation based on a blockbuster video game franchise, following the success of the Super Mario Bros. Movie.
