The Suffolk-born band — formerly known as Rabbitfoot, until the announcement of their name change last month — were featured as part of Best Fit's Five Day Forecast in January, building upon their reputation for high-powered performances, which have led them to play several independent venues in London.
"Virgin Soil" exists as the "centrepiece" of the band's live set, developed across over fifty shows since the band first debuted it at The George Tavern. Its official release arrives on Young (Sampha, The xx, Robyn, FKA twigs, Kamasi Washington) as the very first recorded introduction to the five-piece, consisting of Laura (violin), Liv (synthesiser), Paolo (guitar), River (vocals), and Luke (drums).
Discussing the track, 1000 Rabbits explain: “Virgin Soil’ represents the band’s beginnings - experimenting together and making music with no rules. It feels right as our first track out in the world.”
