9 New Songs Out Today

2 hours ago 4

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

CMAT – “WHEN A GOOD MAN CRIES OUT”

Irish singer CMAT’s fantastic new album EURO COUNTRY is out tomorrow and just ahead of that she’s released the video for new single “When A Good Man Cries Out.”

RICHARD ASHCROFT (THE VERVE) – “LOVIN’ YOU”

The Verve’s Richard Ashcroft has shared the title track from his upcoming solo album Lovin’ You. The song incorporates a bit of “Classical Gas” and may have more autotune than you might expect from one of the finest voices of the ’90s.

EMINEM – “EVERYBODY’S LOOKING AT ME”

Eminem’s new Stans documentary is out now on Paramount+, and the soundtrack is out as well. One of the songs included is an expanded version of his 2002 freestyle “Everybody’s Looking At Me” that includes two previously unreleased verses that seem like they were probably recorded back then as well. Em was on fire in those days and this track is a great reminder of that.

SLIPKNOT – “ME INSIDE” (DEMO)

Slipknot are releasing a 25th anniversary edition of their 1999 self-titled debut album on September 6, and one of the newly-added tracks is a demo of “Me Inside,” which originally appeared as a bonus track on the digipak import version of the album.

MUDVAYNE – “HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE”

In more classic nu metal news, Mudvayne have released their first song in 16 years, and they’re clearly keeping things dark and brutal for this long-awaited comeback.

WHITE REAPER – “BLUE 42”

White Reaper’s new album Only Slightly Empty is out in September, and here’s another preview, “Blue 42.”

HAYLEY WILLIAMS – “PARACHUTE”

Hayley Williams has released a new album, Ego Death At a Bachelorette Party, with her 17 recent solo singles, plus one previously unreleased track, “Parachute.”

SAINTHOOD REPS – “SURFER” (ft. BALANCE & COMPOSURE)

Sainthood Reps’ new album Dull Bliss comes out on September 26 via Smartpunk (and they’re playing a release show at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on 10/10), and new single “Surfer” is a collaboration with Jon and Erik from Balance & Composure.

NEIL YOUNG AND THE CHROME HEARTS – “BIG CRIME” (CHICAGO SOUND CHECK)

Neil Young debuted a new anti-Trump song at his Chicago show on Wednesday night, and shared a full recording from soundcheck.
