"The songs recount various events I've experienced in my daily life, particularly in bars. I've noticed that addiction and the obsession with appearance have a strong grip on people in the nightlife scene I'm familiar with. I aimed to represent this darker side by using melodies that are catchy yet highly contrasted. Symphonie publicitaire sous influence was greatly inspired by Derek Jarman's film Jubilee, which I absolutely loved. In it, various British punk icons from the 70s play delinquents trying to find their place in modern civilization. The album delves into addiction issues, social shortcomings, revolt, problematic behaviors, suicide prevention—overall, it speaks to the imperfections of the city nightlife," Alix Fernz shares.
"The “Couteau à la gorge” music video offered a unique chance for us to merge our artistic visions within a punk, dislocated, and theatrical realm. Working alongside Alix Fernz, we sought to blend his underground sensibility with distinctly surreal visuals, drawing inspiration from the works of some of his favorite directors like Jarman and Araki. This project was guided by the desire to build a strong, audacious, and coherent artistic direction which would be in line with Alix' vision. None of this would have been possible without the support of our team. We are deeply grateful for everyone's involvement and generosity throughout this creative process," explains directors Annabelle Fournier & Justine Lacoste
