Music industry mental health nonprofit Backline has announced the launch of B-LINE, a 24/7 crisis support hotline. B-LINE now offers access to trained counselors anytime by calling 1-855-BLINE99 or texting 254-639.
A crisis hotline has long been Backline’s goal. After working with Chappell Roan following her famous 2025 Grammys speech advocating for better artist care, the organization gained the visibility needed to launch B-LINE. Spotify, Noah Kahan’s The Busyhead Project, and Live Nation joined Backline in sponsoring the hotline, with additional support from Aden, AEG Presents, Red Light Management, and Wasserman Foundation.
In a statement, Kahan said, “Support for the wellbeing of the incredibly hard working artists and people that make the music industry function has long been neglected. A dedicated 24 hour hotline is the first step toward accessing critical mental health support. The Busyhead Project and I are proud to work with Backline to create a pathway toward a healthier future and an entry point for accessing resources.”
