Bad Bunny Calls Out ICE “Motherfuckers” in Video of Puerto Rico Raids

Bad Bunny has posted a video to his Instagram Story of what appears to be a raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in his native Puerto Rico.

“Those motherfuckers are in these cars, RAV-4s,” Bad Bunny says in the clip, speaking in Spanish over footage of law enforcement officials seemingly detaining people in unmarked vehicles on Avenida Pontezuela in Carolina, Puerto Rico. “They came here… Sons of bitches, instead of leaving the people alone and working there.”

The Trump administration has recently increased ICE raids across the United States. This month, the president sent more than 4,000 National Guard members and 700 active-duty Marines into Los Angeles — over the objections of Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom — in response to mass protests against ICE raids in the city.

According to NPR, raids in Puerto Rico have disproportionately targeted Dominican immigrants. Of the roughly 500 immigrant arrests on the island since Trump returned to office, 75% have been Dominican nationals, raising concerns about racial profiling.

Bad Bunny is just the latest artist to speak out against the ICE raids, joining Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, ShakiraOlivia Rodrigo, and more. He is known for using his platform to call for political change, having previously criticized the lack of humanitarian aid in the wake of Hurricane Maria and protested against government corruption in Puerto Rico.

This July, Bad Bunny will kick off a 30-date residency in Puerto Rico, which will run through mid-September. He will then embark on an international tour from November through July 2026. Get tickets here.

“Se tiraron aquí en la Pontezuela. Hijos de ___… En vez de dejar a esa gente tranquila trabajando ahí.”
