For many, keeping in contact with friends from their adolescence looks like a bi-monthly coffee date and a string of "sorry for not replying to this sooner" texts. For Rob, Tay, and CJ, however, it's lifeblood. Upgrading their social contract from mutual best friends to bandmates, the trio all share a penchant for revelling in a self-built, hazy, and most certainly vibrant sonic sphere. Evolving their passion from its containment inside the garden shed to artists on the precipice of their debut album, what's better than turning your aspirations into reality, if not with your best friends by your side?

Somewhere between shoegaze-inflected R&B and all and out indie-pop, Besphrenz forward upbeat guitar-lines and 50's esque harmonised chants. Despite its sound that harkens back to summer memories of years gone by, the music remains entirely contemporary in its crafting with "kozy" toying with tempo changes and "heart attack" incorporating a generous mix of echoes and roars. The band's enthusiasm shines through each lick.

Speaking of "heart attack", CJ shares "It’s been quite the journey with this song. I’ve always dealt with health anxiety and at the time of writing it I was in a really low place mentally but trying to turn that around by exposing myself to it. I’ve learned to be ok with uncertainty and I think this song has sort of become my mantra through that."
