Source: Tim Mosenfelder / GettyUniversal’s upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic continues to fill out its roster of Hip-Hop heavyweights, and the latest casting comes with some serious musical lineage of its own. As per Variety SwayvoTwain, the son of late R&B legends D’Angelo and Angie Stone, has been tapped to portray The Notorious B.I.G. in Snoop. Born Michael D’Angelo Archer II, SwayvoTwain is a recording artist and songwriter whose music blends elements of Hip-Hop, soul and R&B. While he has already begun carving out his own lane musically, portraying Christopher Wallace will mark his first major film role. The casting also adds another interesting layer to a movie already packed with actors portraying some of the most recognizable figures from Hip-Hop’s 1990s era.Although Biggie became the face of Bad Boy Records and East Coast Hip-Hop while Snoop rose to superstardom through Death Row Records on the West Coast, the two MCs maintained a mutual respect for one another before Biggie’s death in 1997.
