Black Panther Meets the Fantastic Four in Latest Avengers: Doomsday Teaser: Watch

1 month ago 16

The hype for Avengers: Doomsday is starting to feel real. After a few nostalgia-baiting teasers highlighting Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) as fathers, Marvel revealed a teaser showcasing the return of the X-Men. Now, a fourth (and potentially final?) preview has been released, this one featuring Black Panther and the Wakandans meeting up with the Fantastic Four.

Opening on a shot of a desert, we see Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther walking from behind. In voiceover, she says, “I’ve lost everyone that matters to me. The King has his duties, to prepare our people for the afterlife. I have mine.”

As she speaks, we’re shown Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and his Talokanil warriors, their presence in the sand a clear indication that something is very wrong for the underwater kingdom. M’Baku (Winston Duke) and some Dora Milaje walk up besides Shuri, all of their armor seemingly enhanced by Talokan technology. M’Baku reaches out his hand and introduces himself as King of Wakanda to someone — The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), from last year’s excellent The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

“Ben, Yancy Street between Broome and Grand,” says The Thing. As Shuri and M’Baku depart in their ship, Black Panther gives the iconic Wakanda Forever salute.

The teaser finally provides the franchise crossover appeal that has made the Avengers films such cinematic events; hopefully, the movie itself can cobble together a satisfying culmination of what has been a very shaky build up through the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Multiverse Saga.

Set for release on December 18th, 2026, Avengers: Doomsday sees the return of Infinity War and Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo. The massive confirmed cast includes the X-Men Patrick Stewart (Professor Xavier), Ian McKellen (Magneto), James Marsden (Cyclops), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), Kelsey Grammer (Beast), and Channing Tatum (Gambit); Avengers stalwarts Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Captain America), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Sebastian Stan (Bucky/Winter Soldier), and Danny Ramirez (Falcon); Thunderbolts’ Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Wyatt Russel (U.S. Agent), and Lewis Pullman (Bob/Sentry); Moss-Bacrach’s fellow FF teammates Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), and Joseph Quinn (Human Torch); and the long-awaited return of Simu Liu (Shang-Chi).

Potentially dozens of more characters from across the MCU (rumored to include Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool) are also expected to appear in Doomsday and its sequel Avengers: Secret Wars, coming December 17th, 2027.
