Two weeks after My Chemical Romance covered “Livin’ On A Prayer” in NJ and just days after Jon Bon Jovi became a grandfather (thanks to Millie Bobby Brown and Jon’s son Jake Bongiovi adopting a baby), Bon Jovi have announced a new version of last year’s Forever album that features a different guest on each song, plus one new song that’s amazingly titled “Red, White And Jersey.”
Jason Isbell already contributed co-writing, backing vocals, guitar, and keyboards to the original album’s song “Waves,” and now he presumably has a more proper guest vocal appearance on the Forever (Legendary Edition) version. Other guests include fellow New Jersey icon Bruce Springsteen, as well as Avril Lavigne, James Bay, Robbie Williams, Jelly Roll, Ryan Tedder, Billy Falcon, The War and Treaty, and Joe Elliott. Forever (Legendary Edition) is due out on October 24 via Island, and “Red, White And Jersey” is set to arrive this Friday. Stay tuned.
