Bring Me The Horizon Singer Suffers Mild Concussion After Fan Throws Phone At His Head

We are unfortunately back with more news of concertgoers throwing objects at musicians. Last week, Eric Clapton called off an encore in Madrid after a fan threw a vinyl sleeve at him. Last night, Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes had a phone chucked straight at his head in St. Louis. Today, he posted an update, saying he suffered a mild concussion.

The incident occurred at the Enterprise Center right at the end of "Happy Song." A fan caught a close-up video, but it happens so fast you can barely see the moment of collision. For the rest of the show, the rock frontman visibly struggled to sing, continuously touching his forehead. On his Instagram Story, Sykes assured his fans that he's "all good." "The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling's gone down a decent amount already," he added.

"Last night I was struggling a bit on stage afterwards because singing was putting a lot of pressure on the wound and making things feel a bit disorienting while performing, so I'm sorry on my part for what may of seemed like a half hearted performance," he continued. "Appreciate everyone checking in and worrying about me though Everything should be fine for tonight's gig."

In March, country singer Riley Green got five stitches after a fan threw a phone at him. Scary! Watch footage of the BMTH incident below.
