Britney Spears says she will “never perform in the US again,” citing “extremely sensitive reasons.” The pop star, who was freed from her conservatorship in 2021, made the declaration in an Instagram post on Friday alongside a photo of herself sitting beside a white Yamaha piano.

The 44-year-old did not elaborate on why she no longer wants to perform in the US, but teased the prospect of shows in the UK and Australia “very soon.”

Spears last performed live in the US in October 2018 as part of her “Piece of Me” tour. She had announced a 2019 Las Vegas residency, but it was postponed and ultimately canceled after her father, Jamie, suffered medical issues and Britney received mental health treatment.
