Bruce Hornsby has officially announced details of his latest album, Indigo Park.
Due out April 3rd via Zappo Productions/Thirty Tiger, the record spans 10 tracks with a rather hefty guestlist. That includes Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Bonnie Raitt, Blake Mills, and the late Bob Weir. Meanwhile, another Grateful Dead legend, lyricist Robert Hunter, co-wrote two album tracks, “Alabama” and “Might As Well Be Me, Florind.”

Recording for Indigo Park actually began back in 2024, and followed a prolific run of four Hornsby albums in five years: Absolute Zero (2019), Non-Secure Connection (2020), ‘Flicted (2022), and Deep Sea Vents (2024). Across the LP, Hornsby “contemplates formative moments from his past, sometimes trying to resolve them, and other times looking for clues about his current-day outlook.” The end result is a record that “captures one of music’s most adventurous, collaborative, and accomplished artists at the top of his game.”
News of the tracklist and collaborators is accompanied by yet another treat as Hornsby unveils the album’s title track. “Indigo Park” typifies the contemplative arc of this LP, as Hornby mediates on a “10th grade party at the Indigo Park Pool in Williamsburg, Virginia, when a ‘great big entrance’ went awry.” Through his endless heart and wisdom, Hornsby finds decidedly prescient ideas and energies across the track.
Or, as Hornby put it in a statement, “It’s just an old bastard, looking back. To be honest, I’ve found a way, a path to grow old gracefully, with help from some newborn friends of mine.” Listen to the track below.
As previously reported, Hornsby is supporting Indigo Park with a North American tour across April and June. Hornsby will play not only tunes from the new record, but material from throughout his robust discography. Get tickets here.
