After releasing countless edits and hosting an event in Sydney under the same name, Caleb Jackson brings Party Favours to life with its first track, “Foreva.”
Caleb Jackson has had a very big past few years. Recently having played direct support for Michael Bibi in his hometown of Sydney, he’s taking his next big step with his own label, Party Favours.
“Foreva,” the first single on the label, is out now, too. A house ode to the Faith Evans’ classic “Love Like This,” it highlights Caleb’s love for big vocal hooks and rolling percussive grooves. He originally made the tune for his sunset performance at the Australian festival Lost Paradise, and to convey a certain feeling with the label’s debut.
Or in his own words, “‘Foreva’ is my tribute to those especially euphoric dancefloor moments that you get lost in. Living in the present, soaking it all up, but a part of you wishing it could last forever. I wrote it specifically for Lost Paradise festival as I knew I was playing sunset and wanted to strike a certain chord with the crowd. Needless to say, I dropped it exactly after the sun went down and it hit perfectly. So as it’s my first release on my own label, it felt right to kick it off with something special.”
Caleb has always put out flips and edits on SoundCloud, but with Party Favours now launched, they have a proper home. His renditions of David Bowie “Let’s Dance,” Outkast’s “The Way You Move,” and Madonna’s “Music” have garnered serious support from DJs like Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Green Velvet, and Dennis Cruz. As he’s also released his own music on labels like PIV, Archie Hamilton’s MicroHertz, elrow, and Desert Hearts, Party Favours looks to be just the beginning for Caleb Jackson.
Be sure to listen to “Foreva” on Spotify or your favorite streaming platform, and catch him in Australia before the summer ends!
