Cameron Winter is one of over two dozen artists who are contributing to HELP(2), a forthcoming compilation album organized by and benefitting the global children's charity War Child UK. Today Winter has shared a behind-the-scenes snippet of his song, an original called "Warning," which features Amy Langley on cello, production by James Ford, and mixing by Ed Farrell at Abbey Road Studios in London.
Unless you count the Bruce Springsteen cover that appeared in an Xbox ad last fall but has not been commercially released, this will be Winter's first solo song since his profile-raising December 2024 debut album Heavy Metal. Check out the preview snippet below; the full HELP(2) album drops next month.
In other recent Winter news, a Sydney-based TikToker who goes by Hey You Listen To This ran into the Geese frontman at the airport and popped some questions. "Indie complex is shilling us right now," Winter said half-seriously. "Why we've been chosen as the, you know, sort of main product — I don't know." When asked if that was a lot of pressure on him, Winter said, "No." He also would rather you not revisit Geese's old high school recordings. Watch that below.
Lastly, Geese just played Laneway Festival in Sydney, and Lucy Dacus and Alex G were into it:
HELP(2) is out 3/6 via War Child Records. Pre-order it here.
