Britpop vets Cast just wrapped up their UK / Ireland tour supporting Oasis, and now they’re headed to America to do the same at the New Jersey and Pasadena shows, as well as opening for Brian Jonestown Massacre on the East Coast and a headlining shows in NYC. All dates are listed below.
We asked Cast frontman John Power to tell us about five of his favorite ’90s songs, and he named classics by Primal Scream, R.E.M., Beck, Oasis of course, and one by his former band, The La’s. Watch video of that — the shorter Instagram version or the full length on YouTube featuring his dog Echo — below.
Cast open for Oasis in NJ (Metlife Stadium on August 31 and September 1) and Pasadena (Rose Bowl Stadium on September 6 & 7) alongside tour openers Cage the Elephant. They’ll also open for The Brian Jonestown Massacre in NYC (9/9 at Webster Hall) and Philadelphia (9/10 at Union Transfer). While here, Cast will also play a NYC headline show at Sony Hall on September 3.
Cast are also releasing a new album, Yeah Yeah Yeah, which will be out in January. You can watch the video for the single “Way It’s Gotta Be (Oh Yeah)” which was filmed on the Oasis tour, below.
