Chanel Beads announces new album, Your Day Will Come

Your Day Will Come follows Chanel Beads' 2024 debut of the same name as a separate body of work that marks a shift in his sound. "Song for the Messenger" arrives as the second preview of the album, following "The Coward Forgets His Name" released last year.

Speaking about "Song for the Messenger" and its accompanying video, Lavers explains, “This song is laughing at me. Like looking over your shoulder and walking off a cliff. The video is about no fear.”

Your Day Will Come was recorded in Lavers' Brooklyn studio, with the songs concentrated on questions sparked by his interest in the coexistence of love and nihilism. The album features violin from Zachary Paul, vocals from Maya McGrory can once again be heard across the album, and additional contributions from friends and collaborators including Tchad Cousins (Urika’s Bedroom), Mari Maurice (More Eaze), Anastasia Coope, Bella Litsa and Isaac Eiger (Threshold).
